Boot Camp in Heels

As part of this whole experience of being a blogger, I have gotten to meet some insanely awesome, nice, fab people, all of whom are very often connected to even more awesome, nice and fab people just like them. Whether we see each other at events or stay in touch on Twitter, it's made blogging really, really fun for me. I love meeting cool people!

My friend Patti is one of these people - she writes over at Anatomy of a Dinner Party all about the fine art of entertaining and party-throwing. To know Patti means you will always see her with a smile on her face and some fun things to talk about, and she is ever looking to connect people together, whether personally or professionally. Plus, this lady knows her parties. Got a question about which fork to use or how to word an invitation? Patti's got your back.

We are heading directly into party season central, and so of course Patti has something up her sleeve to help everyone out. Enter Party Boot Camp, a training workshop especially for those who want to figure out how to "do it all" with some style. Patti and her company Dazzling Manners are featuring lessons on party planning (Patti's session!), menu ideas, cocktail inspirations, stylish decor and even more stylish fashion for the hostess her(or him)self. In just one evening, you can learn the best from the best, and all for a slim $25. After having heard from a lot of my girlfriends that they only wish that they could throw fabulous soirees, this sounds like this could be right up their alley.

A BB Tip: Patti's fantastic etiquette and party-planning courses typically go for $60 and up, a price well-worth her expertise and support. At $25, you are getting the best of both worlds - class AND cheap!

This event would be a fun change-up for you and your pals for a girls night on the town, since you will get the chance to test the cocktails and appetizers and have the chance to meet some other fabulous in-towners. And men, even if you aren't interested, maybe your lady is, so send it along toh her! Plus, to learn straight from the pros, you all would be totally set for all those grown-up (read: non-keg) parties you know you want to host :)

What are your favorite types of parties to throw?
