Target and Neiman Marcus

I just scoped out the upcoming Target + Neiman Marcus collection that debuts Saturday in both brand's stores and online. The much-buzzed about holiday collaboration features over 50 limited-edition products from top American designers that range in price from $7.99 to $499.99.

Have you taken a look at the line-up yet? You can find the full round-up here, and below are a few of my favorites. That dress, in paticular, is to-die, and how great would that bar set be for the bachelor in your life?

Like the Missoni and Jason Wu special Target lines of past, expect these items to sell out FAST! Happy Shopping!!
Lela Rose for Target + Neiman Marcus, $99
Altuzarra for Target + Neiman Marcus, Shaker, Glasses and Tray set, $49.99
Prabal Gurung for Target + Neiman Marcus, $79.99
Robert Rodriguez for Target + Neiman Marcus, $79.99

Baubles to Boot

You all know me - I can't overlook a good deal. And when a company is practically giving away things, I always -- always -- stop by for at least a look.

This trait of mine drives the S.O. absolutely bonkers, by the way. Just try and speed me through the aisles at Tar-jay. You can't rush sales, I tell ya. You just can't.

This week, I unsubscribed from about 20 sales/deals emails. Waking up each morning to a personal Blackberry inbox with 40 unread emails was really getting to me. That is just not a great thing to see first thing in the morning before even brushing your teeth. Sure, some were legit (related to the blog and some of my volunteer organizations) but they were getting buried (and I mean buried, two-week response delay times right here) under all that absolute junk. I love hearing about good sales, but some of these emails were just overkill. I am not actually trying to spend all of my money right now at LOFT, Banana, the factory outlets, Williams-Sonoma, random hair salons, massages, Target ... as you might otherwise have assumed when checking out my old inbox.

All those unsubscribes later, and I am a happy camper. But in the midst of saying "remove me from your email list," I actually signed up for a new service. One that has been making its way around my friend network, and one that is a natural fit for me. Enter the BaubleBar Buried Bauble.

Every Friday at 11AM ET, members of this email list get a special heads-up about the latest discount on one special item. You use the clue to find the right piece of jewelry over on BaubleBar's (adorably chic) site, rather than having to guess and click all over the place trying to find the one item marked down to $10 (yes, $10).

While the bigger flash sale sites appeal to me, I honestly am not one to drop $150 on a designer set of jeans, but $10? I can swing that in a hot minute, especially on statement jewelry.

Fact: most of my jewelry hasn't cost me more than $15-20. You don't need to spend a lot to get a lot. Witness: today's necklace from Kohl's, a Vera Wang line that was clearance for something like $10.

So what did I buy today? Two of today's Hidden $10 Baubles (regularly $24 for one) ...

And these adorable Bee studs ($24)!

Hello gameday! I am set for both an Auburn (wearing both together for a fun look) and a Tech game with these purchases. Even better? I used my new member discount on the earrings, so they only cost me $14!

Have you joined BaubleBar yet? Their deals seem great, and even if you aren't always in the market for jewelry, you might find a fun Friday buy here and there to make this extra email subscription worth it :)

PS. I really liked my entire outfit today, so here is an OOTD shot for you - glam up your casual jeans with fun heels!

Disclosure: All opinions are my own. BaubleBar did not contribute to this post in any fashion.

Hand-picked Goodness

A few months ago, we snagged one of the new Scoutmob "Hand-Picked" deals to use over at West Egg. And oh my goodness, we were so glad we did! The entire meal was amazing, and totally custom-built so that we got to try a lot for our buck. The dinner included everything from appetizers, wine and cupcakes to-go, all for something like $25 a person. The meal's real cost was probably upwards of $50 a person. Hello, bargain hunter!

Katherine's tip: Go for dinner, rather than brunch. They have mostly the same menu, plus other options like chicken pot pie (OMG) and wine. Duh :)

A "Boozy Shake" and homemade gingersnaps were a
sweet and decadent finish to our fantastic meal!
The Hand-Picked deals are specials around town that are more than just a meal - they are entire experiences that are only available to Scoutmob deal members:
Here you’ll find only the best experiences in your city -- experiences that will require you to plan upfront with a purchased reservation. Some will be Hand-Picked events. Others will be Hand-Picked services and gift packages. And still others will be things you've never seen before on this site or with our app. What we promise is that Hand-Picked will always be the very best, Scoutmob-worthy local experiences, available only on our website.
To make sure we offer only the most unique, can’t-find-it-elsewhere Hand-Picked creations, we’ll only feature new ones every once in a while. In other words, we'll have 'em... when we have 'em. First come, first serve. So get to it!    ~The Scoutmob Website

Well, the Scoutmob team is back with another amazing deal for us, and this one is full of some of my favorite things. The Monday Night Brewing guys, Eddie's Attic and the Bearings email people, too. Check out the details below! I am considering grabbing up a few tickets -- how about you?

Bearings + Scoutmob Bring You: A Night With ATL Collective & Monday Night Brewing

Event Date: March 18th at 6:30 or 9:30PM

Price: $25. Your ticket includes ...

  • Admission for one to A Night with ATL Collective at Eddie's Attic
  • Local musicians covering the entirety of Bruce Springsteen's Born in the U.S.A.
  • Two beers from Monday Night Brewing
  • Souvenir pint glass from Monday Night Brewing
  • Food available themed around the album of the night
  • Custom vintage concert poster for the night by a local designer
  • Digital download of original music from the night's musicians

Honor Thy Presidents ... and Shop

Fun fact...did you know that President's Day Weekend is the 2nd best holiday of the year to snag discounts (even better than Black Friday/Cyber Monday)?

In case you are a shopping addict (Hi, my name is Katherine...) like me, there is a lot to look forward to through tomorrow's holiday, if you haven't already started shopping (again, Hi, my name is Katherine....).

First up, be sure to check over on the Crate and Barrel website for their President's Day Outlet Sale. I just snagged a few holiday items on deep, deep discount. This is my favorite time of year to pick up holiday items. Next Christmas/Thanksgiving/Halloween, I am going to be so excited to pull out those new-to-me things, especially knowing I spent some tiny fraction of the real cost :)

For example, I just found this fab holiday plaid (and round - why are these so hard to find?!) tablecloth that I can't wait to pack away for 2012. $25 instead of $70? Yes, please!

And since I am one of their Official Trendsetters, I also want to let you know that Shop It To Me will be sending special edition Salemails this weekend, too. Keep an eye on your inbox or log on to Shop It To Me Search to get in on the action. They will be sharing savings and discount codes from 150+ retailers (including Bloomies, J. Crew, Tory Burch and more), filtered to your brands and sizes.

Click this guy for a fun, Presidential .gif show :)

Wherever you shop online this weekend, be sure to use Ebates for FREE (yes, FREE) money back on whatever you buy. I am about to get back my second "big, fat check," as they call it, back from Ebates, and all just for shopping for things I otherwise would have bought anyways (think: wedding gifts, sale items, Friday morning "I Need This" shoe shopping ...).

Click here to sign up (and give me a little bonus in the process!).

'Tis the season for sales! Happy Shopping!

Meal Deals to Come

I am back in regular-Katherine mode after being in Bachelorette-overdrive all weekend, and what a fun one it was! We celebrated for our BFF Laurie who is just weeks away from becoming a Mrs! Stay tuned: more to come this week on how I decorated and cooked for the fun Girls Weekend just for her.

After so many weeks of socialness, I am attempting to cook a bit more (healthy) at home, but that doesn't mean that this Restaurant Week notice from Concentrics didn't catch my eye this morning. You can grab up a three course meal for $25 at all of the restaurants during the week of September 4-11. Fantastic! To satisfy your Concentrics cravings before this deal hits, don't forget to use their Summer Swag voucher for 50% off your meals until September 1.

What is your favorite stop in this restaurant group? I am partial to TAP and their Numbers Ale, myself :)

Buckhead Restaurant Week: Dates Set

I have no more than this to share with you yet, but HOORAY the dates have been set for some fine dining and wining around my little neighborhood of Buckhead :)

Thanks Meg for the heads up! More to come when they post the participating restaurants and menus.

Thaw it and Kick It

We are all sick and tired of this snow and ice covering our fair city with shiny slipperiness. This weekend, the weather is set to warm up just the slightest bit, and you better believe most of us are going to be most-thankfully rising up off the couches and stretching our legs a bit.

While you ladies are getting back into your workout routines, why not learn some new functional moves that can fuel your own self-defense out there in the world? The current deal on local site Tippr is for a Half Off Self Defense Class from Divas in Defense. This offer can be redeemed for either one Basic Self Defense or a Personal & Street Safety and Pepper Spray Class. Both are offered at the Divas in Defense Atlanta location downtown on Mitchell Street, and are half off their usual value of $50!

From their website:
Divas In Defense trains women to feel empowered and educated, with the tools and training to protect yourself and your family against anything that might come your way. With classes in defense against assault, rape, domestic violence, and more, Divas In Defense provides a women-only space to learn and practice the necessary know-how to be safe on the street or at home.

Divas in Defense has partnered up with local ATL and LA basketball teams the Dream and the Sparks, and has hosted functions with the Girl Scouts and the GSU chapter of Delta Zeta. They are all about empowering women to take care of ourselves in any situation that might present itself.

With all of the crime that we can see by living in a metropolitan area, this deal sounds like a winner to me! Kick some crime booty, ladies!

PS. It's National Delurker Day! That means TODAY of all days, you should leave some comment loving and come out from behind that Internet anonymity :P

After-Christmas Crafting

A Note to my Readers: I am going to be out of town over the next week, spending wonderful time with family and friends. We return on New Year's Eve, and I can't wait to share stories of our trips with you. Have a wonderful and safe holiday! XOXOX.
------------------------------------------
Everyone hears about the sales that go on the week AFTER Christmas. All holiday-themed items are all on huge discount everywhere you look. Actually, a trip to Cost Plus World Market last weekend proved that such things are already being slashed in prices. All holiday items there were at least 50 if not 75% off. That sure was beneficial for me as I picked up a last few gift wrap items!

I know a lot of people aren't ones to instinctively buy winter clothes in April, or pick up last Spring's picnic items when the temperatures hit 55 that Fall, but buying items after their season is one of the most budget-friendly ways of stocking up. This year, I pulled out a brand new set of snowmen salt and pepper shakers that I received last year. It was such a treat to have new items to put into rotation with my holiday decorations!

I highly recommend stopping by your local arts and crafts stores next week (or Sunday, if you are hardcore haha) to pick up some of the discounted items. Think wrapping paper, cards, ribbon, bows and ornaments.

While you are it, and especially if you are going to be at home with the kids or on vacation from work, why not spend that time doing some crafts with those items? There is nothing like having homemade items to give as gifts in 2011, or to put on display in your own home.

Here are a few suggestions:

1. Pick up boxes of shiny ornaments (big YAY if they are only a few dollars each!), a plain green or grapevine wreath and a simple glue gun, and put together a gorgeous wreath for your door. This is one of my FAVORITE crafts I have ever made for myself.

2. Buy basic ball ornaments, and use some fine glitter and craft glue to turn them into sparkly balls to fill up your tree or give away to friends.

3. Make homemade gift tags to use next year with old Christmas cards. Cut off the back part of the card, and be sure to use cards without any written messages or 2010-type dates on them. Punch a hole in the upper left, thread in some ribbon and voila, done.

4. Surplus oversize holiday napkins from the sale racks can be turned into festive decorative pillows with a little stuffing and some thread. Check out an easy tutorial on one of my favorite crafty blogs, Bargain Hoot.

Happy Crafting, and Happy Holidays!

Swarm like BEEEES

I am entering the week of "I will have no time to post anything to my blog" as we have family and friends coming in from far and wide for the holiday. So I wanted to give you all the heads up that I will be MIA. Though I am pretty sure that most of you are going to be in the same boat ... if not today, then tomorrow, or very certainly by Thursday.

In lieu of the busy week we all have ahead, I won't hold you long here. So here it is, my short tip for today: Deal Swarm Atlanta. Sign up with your email today for more Groupon/Living Social/ScoutMob/SpecialsATL/ATL on the Cheap type offers, like 50% off a haircut at a hot area salon, or Buy One - Get One Ticket Free to an area attraction. You can also follow them on Twitter to stay up with what they have going on each day.

Tip: I made a "Deals and Steals" list on TweetDeck just for deal providers like this one -- you can't risk missing some of their offers amidst a crazy Twitter feed, after all! And seriously, getting 20 "deal"  emails in a day on your phone is just plain overwhelming, even for this Betty.

So whether you are running a morning road race, or hosting 20 of your nearest and dearest, or heading out to your favorite local eatery for a fab 5-course meal, I hope you have an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving holiday this week. I look forward to catching up with all of you after our inevitable food and football comas wears off :)

PS. Goooo Jackets, Sting 'Em, BEEEEEES!!!! To Hell With Georgia!
PPS. GT fans wondering what on earth the whole "BEEEES" thing is: Try saying the kickoff cheer with the "BEEEES" part at the end during the game. I promise, it makes it all much more entertaining. Especially if we are losing said game :)

My Prep for Black Friday

As we quickly approach Thanksgiving, I am looking forward to, in addition to the sleu of family, food and football, our annual outing on Black Friday. As you might remember from last year, we don't do the full-scale Black Friday shin-dig. We prefer to sleep in a bit, eat some pie (YUM, lemon-meringue is clutch) and have some coffee, and then leisurely head over to Roswell's Shoe Gallery Warehouse for shoe-shopping mania.

After we girls arrive home, there's a fashion show of our purchases. My choices are typically in the stiletto or boot category, sticking with fun brands like Nine West and Jessica Simpson. Last year's purchase is a prime example. I usually get a few raised-eyebrows and "I don't know how you wear those," and all is right in my world :)

My mom is a teacher, and so can't wear heels all day to work. So her approach to SGW is looking for comfortable shoes that also have some style. It's hard work, though. The super-cute ballet flats have zero support, and then the super-supportive shoes often come off as looking grandmotherly. Mom always does a good job picking shoes right in the middle of those two extremes, but Dad is always way more interested in my fun heels than her supportive flats haha.

In any case, I thought of this entire exchange the other day as I picked up two pairs of shoes on deep discount. The first pair scream "comfortable" to me, as they should -- I needed a new pair of flats to walk in to MARTA during the winter. They have to be comfortable and warm -- something most ballet flats really aren't. And honestly, I needed them to be cute, but they didn't have to be eye-catching, as I often swap them out for heels once I get to my office.

So I picked up these -- except in black. Pardon the picture, it's not mine. Apparently this is why they were on such deep discount. These Anne Klein loafers have all but disappeared from the web in the meantime, to be replaced by newer versions (the patent leather is cute!).

But never fear, Dad. I got some "fun" shoes, too, in typical Katherine style. Behold.

I really got the best of both worlds, I think :)

Can't wait for next Friday morning!

A Finely Crafted Evening

Read all the way through: a new deal site is mentioned at the end! :)

Last night I said something I have always wanted to at a restaurant: "We are going to be your favorite customers tonight, because we are having one of every course on the menu." The waitress laughed, said that she was really looking forward to our evening together, and immediately got down to business making sure we had a proper evening on the town.

CraftBar is the smaller, more budget-friendly version of it's neighbor upstairs, Craft Atlanta, located in the heart of Buckhead by the Mansion Hotel. While known primarily as an upscale dining option, it has also become a neighborhood hangout since so many locals can easily walk there for a meal. It's been on my to-do list for months and months now, but a recent ScoutMob deal cinched it for me -- I would be heading there ASAP with a (fabulous) new gal pal to enjoy 50% off (max of $20) on our meal. Done!

I can't even begin to tell you how great my customer experience was. The service was fantastic -- all of our servers made sure to check on us all evening, providing menu suggestions with very friendly demeanors. I think a lot of restaurants around town forget how simple it is to please customers when you underline your whole menu and restaurant with excellent service. Some of them get it right; way more of them just breeze past this in hopes of turning the table over for the next guest. The team at Craft personalizes your night and makes sure you are relaxed and happy.

And the menu, oh the menu! We almost literally did have every course on the menu. Cocktails. Wine. Cheese Platter (DO THIS). Oyster appetizer. Veal and Ricotta Meatball main course. By then, though, the food and drinks caught up to us, and we had to forgo dessert, as well as the rest of our bottle of wine. But the staff, ever attentive, offered to cork it (free of charge) and hold it at the front desk for our departure. Yes, please!

Both Craft and CraftBar are great for sharing plates, so don't be intimidated by the prices. When you split a bunch of items like we did, it ends up being a reasonable price for a whole spread of high-quality food. In my mind, I'd always rather that type of scenario instead of paying $20 for an average meal out.

I can't wait to get back there. Conveniently, there are other deals out there for Craft and CraftBar to take advantage of. One deal I want to highlight today is a new service a la Groupon, available directly from one of my fav services, Open Table. It's called Spotlight, and they offer a different restaurant deal each day. Today's deal is for Craft, and it's a $25 voucher good for $50 worth of food. Hurry, though, as the deal goes away at midnight. 786 people have already grabbed the deal up by mid-day, so I can only imagine it will be thousands soon enough.

Salud and enjoy Craft/Craft Bar! Thanks for a wonderful evening on the town!

Beer And Corn Dogs = Retro Chic

As I wrote this week's Top Ten {Tuesday} post about ITP meals, I knew I was leaving out oh so many gems. It's hard to narrow anything down to just 10, especially 10. My foodie friends could debate this topic all night long. And I know if I had attempted an OTP List (Outside the Perimeter for you non-Atlanta folk), I would have struggled even more, because there is so much food goodness even just a 20-minute drive away from town. After all, some of the best BBQ I have ever had was in random tiny towns where the owners have been their whole lives.

Here's one great OTP example. Thanks to Michael Erickson over at Fifth Group Restaurants, I heard about an OTP Meal Experience lined up for those of you in the Smyrna/Vinings area. Even better? This meal experience comes complete with Sweetwater Beer to accompany each course. My friends know that Sweetwater's 420 is my local beer of choice, so this sounds just fantastic to me!

For $50 a person, this is what you can expect:

Passed Hors d'Oeuvres
Housemade corndogs with orange-coriander “honey mustard”
Chilled white shrimp with seasonal heirloom tomato-horseradish jam
** Paired with Sweetwater Sch’wheat—a refreshing, unfiltered American wheat ale full of delicate rays of citrus hop overtones

Appetizer
"Hot wings-style" ale-brined, grilled Carolina quail with buttermilk blue cheese, celery puree, herb salad and Texas Pete butter sauce
** Paired with Sweetwater IPA—a big, bold Indian pale ale loaded with intense hop character and natural, unfiltered flavors

Entree
BBQ-braised beef brisket with smashed lady peas and fried coleslaw
** Paired with Sweetwater Motorboat—a silver medal-winning, extra-special bitter (ESB) full of sweet caramel and wheat flavors

Dessert
Bacon-wrapped “banana split” with chocolate stout ice cream, honey, chocolate and roasted peanuts
** Paired with Sweetwater Georgia Brown—an especially drinkable ale that's smooth, subtle and a little bit nutty

That dessert is making my mouth water.... and homemade corn-dogs? Insanely cool.

Sound tempting? The event will be held at South City Kitchen Vinings on Thursday, August 19 starting at 6:30pm. The $50/person includes tax and gratuity. For reservations, give them a call at 770.435.0700. Salud!

Black Friday ... in July?

Apparently Target is taking the Christmas in July thing pretty seriously, because today, they are featuring a Black Friday sale of sorts on their site where they usually have their Daily Deals.

From the looks of it, they are doing price slashes across the board, but most are for toys, electronics, home, and beauty. Some price cuts are small, but others are pretty substantial for everyday products you might need around your home.

For example, they have an entire 50% category -- this knife set is down from $200 to only $99!

And you can pick from the colors of the rainbow for these half-off 600-thread count sheets. Dreamy!

One of the big "man toys" that was featured was a TV (Black Friday wouldn't be Black Friday without some huge flat panel, right?) -- a 47" Philips LCD for $300 off. BUT wouldn't you know it, it's already sold out, haha. This Black Friday deal was taken pretty seriously by shoppers this morning!

Happy Shopping and TGIF!

Swagalicious

Hi everyone! I hope you had a fantastic and relaxing weekend. Mine was chock full both of alone-time (I believe Say Yes to the Dress is a show only really watched alone, don't you?) and social-time, good food and cold drinks, and home repairs before poolside entertaining. I can't believe it is Monday already!

I know I just posted about Concentrics last week, and I really don't like to play favorites to one restaurant group or another in town, but goodness gracious, I just can not NOT share their newest deal with you! Actually, I think the below graphic alone will share the good news.

Now we shall wonder, what will the other area restaurant groups do to counter this offer? It is pretty insanely good......

Happy Eating, Everyone!

Hi My Name is Katherine

I don't know about you, but I can literally go to Target once a week and easily kill an hour looking around.

It started when I was in high school. I was at first incensed that they were going to cut down a huge strip of forest by our high school to put in yet another strip mall. But goodness, I was quickly converted when what went into that mall, but a brand new Super Target. LOVE. I would find myself there after school on a free weeknight, or heading there on a Saturday, just to shop around and see what was new.

Last month, I mentioned that I interned with Target during college. I was out on the floors five days a week, helping manage the store. A normal person would have their fill of Target in that time, right? Wrong. I literally (no joke) often found myself heading to another Target store on my days off.

Yes, I am weird. But I found that if you go often enough, you can grab the sales when they hit the shelves, before they sell out! It's a very bad addiction. I try and let myself only buy truly needed things, with some random splurges here and there. The back endcaps in Target stores are golden, because that is where they randomly throw all of the deeply discounted items. It's just something about those red sale tags that gets me.

I can also spend some time in Kohl's here and there. This weekend, I was glad I stopped in because the whole store was covered in those little red sale tags. I got to walk away with this fantabulous Simply Vera by Vera Wang necklace!

It was 80% OFF the original price of $42, putting it at a much-more-affordable $8.40!! I decided that would be my one purchase item of the day.

Oh and these too. While not $8, these Simply Vera aviators were also on sale. Adorably chic. How could I say no?

God, I have a problem. Hello, my name is Katherine, and I am a sale-aholic.

What is your shopping store weakness? Or am I alone here? :)

Eat Your Face Off

I love getting emails from the area restaurant groups. They are always looking for the next biggest and greatest way to bring in customers, and most of the time, they are right on the money with their promotions. Concentrics Restaurants are no exception.

Like remember the All You Can Eat deal that Two Urban Licks did this winter? Well, ONE. midtown kitchen is going for a repeat of that success, offering up "Mangia! Mangia! Meatball Thursdays" this summer. The 3 course feast will be served served family style like the one at TwoUL was, and includes pasta topped with the weekly meatball feature (I'd imagine it will vary from things like lamb, venison, etc), salad and dessert. The best part is the price, though -- $14.50 per person, or $19.50 per person with a bottle of red or white wine!! Fantastic! Yes, please.

The other one that caught my eye in this week's email blast is a sweet treat from Bakeshop. This joint has been in the back of my head for a few weeks now, but honestly I have been trying to steer clear of desserts in lieu of bikini season. However, for this new special, I might have to make an exception. With something called Sundaes-N-Waffles, how can you go wrong?

They are hosting this affair on Sundays all summer long from 3-7pm. The housemade waffle is topped with your choice of a topping like butterscotch or caramel rum raisin. Add to that a scoop of chocolate ice cream, raspberry sorbet, or another cool flavor, and that is one serious treat for only $5! They also will have a new special flavor combo for $7 each week, like "Pistachio Truffle Sundae."

... Ok I need to go workout now just from thinking about this fantastic food. Enjoy your holiday weekend, friends! And lady friends, enjoy your SATC2 Nights Out!! :)

It's Your Birthday ... Save if You Want To

I don't even remember how I ran across this site, but I bookmarked Free Birthday Treats a few weeks ago, thinking that it was a fantastic spot to send all of you. I bet you have a friend with a birthday coming up, or maybe it's your own! Instead of spending lots of money on said-birthday, check out the discounts and freebies that are offered out there. Free Birthday Treats is one huge master list of them, categorized by state, adult vs. kid, retailer type, and discount vs. free. They also have a blog that has some other freebie tips and ideas.

For example, as a GA resident, I can get some of these things for free because of my birthday:

Free dessert during my birthday month at Maggiano's (this is clutch for me, since I am Christmas baby and it's so hard to get people out on my actual birthday day)
Free smoothie at Smoothie King
Free chocolate fondue for two at the Melting Pot
15% off at Loehmann's

Most deals require you to sign up for an email or member list of some sort. I did a quick Google search, and Hey It's Free! and Birthday Freebies also look like good deal finding spots.

There are lots of free things to be had in honor of your (or someone else's!) special day -- so Happy Deal Finding!

The Extras I Miss Most

Being on a budget, I have had to cut back on some things -- the little "extras" that I really wish I could have back. Grande Nonfat Chais a few times a week. Random shopping trips to Target. Hitting up the Nine West Outlet each season. Martinis out on the weekends. Even silly things like driving in to work instead of riding MARTA and paying the daily rate without a parking pass.

Hands down, though, the "extra" that I miss most is the weekly manicure and bi-monthly pedicure I used to be able to treat myself. Living at home, I had much more expendable income, and kept up the polish on my fingers and toes like you wouldn't believe. The girls at the nail salon would ask where I'd been if I missed a week -- that's how routine a customer I was. It was a perfect end to a day after work, sitting down and being pampered.

Have you been able to keep up with all of the coupon sites out there? I haven't. I won't lie. As much of a fan as I am of saving money, menu planning, and coupon clipping, I just can't seem to keep up with the deals. I have gotten a ton of deals from ScoutMob that just sit in my Blackberry, waiting to be used. I have a handful of coupons from Restaurant.com that I really want to use but always seem to forget about at the last minute. Like last night -- we wanted to go out to eat, and I didn't even think to consider any of the places I had discounts for already. Duh.

Today, I am passing on yet another coupon site to you, but it's because today's deal struck a cord with me, and I think it might sound fab to some of you ladies, too. Thanks Bela and Sarah for sending this one, it's perfect!

It's a mani/pedi deal for $20 at a Buckhead salon. In fact, it's actually only $15 if you haven't signed up on LivingSocial before. Use the link below -- I apparently get more DealBucks if you do! You can also get more DealBucks if you send along a link to your friends. It seems like a nice little deal for all involved :)

A mani/pedi for only $15 is something that I am SO excited to treat myself to. The gunmetal gray polish, while rocker-chic for the winter, is now looking dull in the warm weather. I need some hot pink, and now I can have it, just in time for flip-flop weather and my Easter dress! Enjoy!

XOXO
