Colors of the Year

Last year, Pantone (I love their color cards!) picked their Color of the Year to be this bright and sunny shade of yellow called Mimosa:

I immediately fell in love! I had been searching at the time for an inspiration color for my living room. That was perfect to go with the black and white motif I had going on, and soon thereafter I painted the wall a very similar shade:

This year, I am so excited to see that they have just named Turquoise as the 2010 Color of the Year. Turquoise has always been one of my favorite colors. Well, actually, Cerulean blue in the Crayon box has always been my hands-down favorite blue - but Turquoise is a more likely second choice in real life decor.

I really really want to incorporate turquoise into my condo color scheme, but so far the red and dark brown dining room, yellow and black living room, and green and brown master suite doesn't leave very many options...

Except for my walk-in closet.

Imagine! A Tiffany-blue Turquoise closet! How fabulous! I will ponder this for a while and get back to you whether I follow through on this one. I mean, why not? The clothes of course are all colorful... but the wall at the end is very sad and beige....
