Guest Blog: Life With a Lab

Hi everyone! This week I am off sailing the high seas of the Eastern Caribbean on my long-awaited cruise! I can't wait to tell you all about it when I return.

But don't think I have forgotten about you, my bloggy friends. I have lined up a few of my fellow ATL ladies to keep you entertained as Guest Bloggers for the week. First up, Lauren from Life with a Lab. Lauren is an old friend, but even more so, a new friend. I know, confusing. She will explain :) Thank you, Lauren, for sharing your world with us today!
------------

Hello Buckhead Betty readers!! I’m Lauren, and I blog over at Life With a Lab about adventures with my furry sidekick Dixon-monster, shopping, work travels, books, food and pretty much everything else in between! I am thrilled to be here and hope Katherine is having an absolutely fab time cruising around the Caribbean!

Would you believe not too long ago, Katherine and I stumbled upon each other’s blogs and realized we had actually gone to high school together – and graduated in the same class! In four years we didn’t have a single class together – I guess that illustrates how huge our north Atlanta high school really was!

While Katherine is living it up in Buckhead, I moved back to our hometown of Roswell, GA after college, which is 20 minutes North of Buckhead. (Recently mentioned on Yahoo Travel as one of the “Coolest Suburbs Worth a Visit!”)

Life in suburbia has its pros and cons – and if there is one pro that Katherine and I can both appreciate, I’d say it has to be the great restaurants! I am here to share some of the OTP (that’s Outside the Perimeter for those of you not in the know!) gems that might just make you want to venture out of the city.

There are tons of fab restaurants scattered throughout Roswell, but without a doubt, Canton Street in Historic Roswell is the mecca of food. Contained within a small area, there is an abundance of variety – everything from Thai to Latin to Pizza! (Not to mention there are antique shops, art galleries and boutiques too!)

Let’s take a look at my interactive map:

All of those little thumbtacks are restaurants!! See what I mean? Lots of choices. No two restaurants are alike, and I’m almost embarrassed to admit I have dined at every. single. one. (Which might be the cause for needing to hit the gym more frequently… Oops!)

Over the past few years this area has flourished, and it is definitely the spot in Roswell you want to see-and-be-seen in!

Katherine, thank you so much for having me, I am honored! Can’t wait to hear all about your trip!

Cheers,
Lauren
