Festive Finds

For most of you that have been following along on this little blog of mine for a while, you know that this girl is a die-hard Target shopper. If I am in a bind for party or home decor, a hostess gift or pretty much anything else, you better believe that Tar-jay is my #1 stop. Close behind that are places like Kohl's, Michael's and TJ Maxx depending on A) how much patience I have and B) how crafty I am feeling at the moment. What can I say? Those places just aren't as calming and zen for me as my favorite bulls-eye spot.

As avid about finding great deals and steals as I am, what I am NOT is a boutique shopper. Something about boutiques has never drawn me inside like the Tar-jay red does. I am not exactly sure why, though, especially after recent ventures (yes, plural, I couldn't help it) into Festivity, a chic boutique with multiple locations around town, including two in Buckhead.

The first thing that probably never grabbed me about boutiques are the prices on clothes. I am not that much of a clothes snob to want that one-of-a-kind dress or belt for $50+. I can find those items on the cheap just fine at LOFT, mixing and matching them so that you'd never know the difference.

What stopped me dead in my tracks, though, were these:

How freaking adorable and fun are these coasters?! I love them! First I stood there debating if I really needed any (given that I own at least two sets of everyday ones for the coffee table). Then I wondered if I could at least buy any for any sort of party or event coming up. With no housewarming parties in sight, I decided that at the very least, I could blog about them. That's kind of like shopping, right?

These fun coasters run for $8 a pop, and they feature all sorts of Atlanta landmarks. My personal favs were the VaHi sign one, the Peachtree St. sign, Coca-Cola and The Fox.

Which ones do you like? Are these a go or no go on shabby chic meets vintage meets local home decor?

Totally got these coaster designs as magnets - since I have way too many coasters already! You guessed it - the Big Chicken and the Fox. Love them!

Love these! Got them for my brother when he moved away from Atlanta, since I couldn't justify buying them for myself :)BUT, I think you could totally DIY these if you wanted...

I was born and raised in Atlanta and now live in LA. My mom bought me a couple of these as a housewarming gift last year. I love them! They remind me of home:) I can't wait to add to my collection next time we visit.

Ooh, those are so cute. We need the Waffle House ones. Michelle had some like that personalized for her wedding favors. They had the Fox on them. Very cute! My wine is on mine right now!

I love these!! And thanks for the reminder, I have a store credit to Festivity (another reason to dislike boutiques... they only give store credits!)
