All in the Name of the Kids

WOW what a whirlwind of a weekend over here!

It's definitely springtime here in Atlanta, because I know many of you are just like me with jam-packed schedules each week and weekend. This past one was no exception here for the Malone family -- two graduations in two cities in two days, with lots of parties in between with family and friends. Congrats to my brother and my cousin on such successful college careers, we are so proud of you!

In case your schedule isn't packed enough, I had a few ideas to share with you today courtesy of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. I have volunteered with CHOA a few times in the past few years, and they are a great organization. Their volunteers host great events, like the Women, Wine and Shoes event I went to last Fall, that are entertaining for guests while raising tons of money for the kids.

This spring and summer, CHOA has even more fun things planned. Here's a quick sampling from their calendar. Let me know if you are planning on attending any CHOA events, and I'd love to meet up with you!

* Taste of the Highlands, May 15, 2-5pm. $35 tickets and you get to try out all sorts of bites from hot restaurants like Alon's Bakery, The Original El Taco, and La Tavola. Heaven!

* Wine and Local Vendor Discovery, May 17, 7-9pm. For $25, this one is great for you Northside suburbanites, but it's also close enough for any intowners, too. East Cobb Friends of CHOA hosts this one at Fickle Pickle/Relish owner's newest joint, All Yall's Wine and Gourmet Market.
