101 Reasons and Almost As Many Films

Film Buffs Unite!

In its 35th year, the Atlanta Film Festival starts Thursday and runs through May 7th all around Atlanta. So whether your fav theater is the Landmark, the Plaza or Lefont Sandy Springs, you are bound to find an option near you.

Even better? Get some cheap food and beverages with your ticket stub at all sorts of great spots around town! Einstein's and Apre Diem, oh my!

But on to the actual films. The Festival features both shorts and feature length films, and there are oh so many to choose from. A source behind the scenes recommended these ones in particular:

Blank City: An examination of the transformation of Manhattan into the fashion icon it is today.
Pom Wonderful Presents: The Greatest Movie Ever Sold: From Supersize Me director Morgan Spurlock, so how can you go wrong?
The Start of Dreams: A documentary chronicling the journey of three young Atlanta actors as they are inspired by Kenny Leon, founder of the True Colors Theatre Company and former Artistic Director of the Alliance Theatre. Local = cool.
Another Earth: This year’s secret screening at South by Southwest, ooo! The plot line is intriguing.

Are any of you heading to the Festival? What movie(s) are you looking forward to seeing?
