Guest Post: The Quick and Dirty Dirty

Today I am super excited to feature a post from Lauren from The Quick + Dirty Dirty, the 2010 Reader's Pick for Best Local Blog in Creative Loafing's Best Of poll! Lauren and her blogging partner Lindsay are a dynamic duo, and a blast to meet up with in person if you have the chance.

I can't wait to see her and the rest of the crew out at this event in a few weeks. Thanks Lauren!

Hello to all the fabulous Buckhead Betty…on a Budget readers!

I’m Lauren Kraselsky and I’m one of the co-writers of The Quick and Dirty Dirty….and a huge BB on a B fan!

I’m thrilled for this opportunity to invite you to the BEST party of the year… Camp Dance!

Here’s the Q+DD: Camp Dance is a FABULOUS evening of nostalgia… we hope to bring you back to your summer camp days by bringing back the old summertime favorite….the Camp Dance. Attire is camp-casual, the food is all camp-themed….and the only thing better than Bug Juice? SPIKED Bug Juice!

Here’s the best part – this year it’s being held at the wonderful WORLD OF COCA COLA!

All of this fun will be in support of the wonderful kids who attend Camp Twin Lakes – a network of camps providing these wonderful memories for children with serious illnesses, disabilities and challenges who might not otherwise have had them!

So grab your friends and head downtown on Saturday, April 30th to the World of Coca-Cola!

Here’s the entire invitation:

The Camp Twin Lakes Junior Board presents Camp Dance 2011
Saturday - April 30th, 8pm-midnight at the World of Coca-Cola

Remember when...
Prime real estate meant getting the top bunk?
The preferred transportation only had one horsepower?
or Tevas and Umbros were considered high fashion?

Well, saddle up your horse, dust off your dancing shoes, and head toward the mess hall, because it's back...and it's better than ever!

That's right. We've decided to shake things up a bit with a "refreshing" new venue. But don't worry...we won't shake it too much!

Camp Dance at the World of Coca-Cola
Immerse yourself in the amazing and interactive exhibits at the World of Coca-Cola including a 4D Theater, Pop Culture, Perfect Pauses, Milestones of Refreshment and Bottle Works all while dancing and listening to tunes from Bobby and the Aristocats!

Tapas and Treats
Enjoy some complimentary spiked bug juice and some camp-themed heavy hors d'oeuvres such as miniature cheeseburgers, corndogs, grill cheeses, and loaded baked-potatoes. Then take part in the delectable dessert bar that will include moon-pies, cheesecake popsicles, rice krispy treats, cupcakes, and of course...s'mores!

Create your own concoctions in Taste It!
Choose one or more of the almost 70 flavors from around the world then head to the bar to complete your cocktail. Beer and wine are complimentary all night. Each admission ticket includes 2 free drink tickets for the cocktail bar. Additional drink tickets may be purchased with cash at the event.

Tickets are $65 and will increase to $75 at the door, if the event is not sold out! Camp Dance is a 21 and up event. Click Here to Buy Tickets.
