Noshing in the ATL ...

... on a budget, but of course!!

I got into a conversation the other night about favorite restaurants, and how we have tried so many ones around town. I was of course thinking, some of those places are awesome deals, too, my favorite kind of eating-out.

So here's a quick list and recap of some go-to's for the well-priced meals and deals. I know not everyone is eating out these days, but if you have a reason to - or are just craving a meal other than in your home! - why not make it an affordable and tasty evening out while you are at it?

* Pancho's - you probably have a favorite Mexican place by your home, but if you are in the mood to try somewhere new, check out this Buford Hwy mainstay. It's right off I-85, and their mole is to. die. for. Trust me.

* On that note, check out the closest El Torero. The food and atmosphere here is no-frills, but you get high-quality Mexican food really fast, and great salsa too! Great option for families with their cafeteria booths and laid-back clientele. My fav: the cheese chili relleno. Yum!

* Tin Lizzy's - the tacos are fantastic and most are under $3. Go there at an off-time to get seated quickly, as both locations pack out at peak.

* Check out the Here to Serve site for weekly deals at all of their fantastic restaurants, located from Midtown up to Perimeter. Next on my to-do list: all you can eat dim-sum on Sundays for $15, wow.

* Figo - see my Love of Figo post for more on this lovely joint for weeknight Italian under $8/person. I wonder how many WW points the Gnocchi with Checca sauce is....

* Fado - known for their beer and St. Patrick's Day street party, Fado is actually an awesome place to get great happy hour deals. They have a special menu from 4-7 with items all under $5, and some of them are big enough to literally be an entire meal, like the Sliders. Get there early if you can, it gets crowded.

Don't forget to check out ScoutMob, Groupon, Half Off Depot, Atlanta on the Cheap, and for some fabulous deals. Some of these sites are one-deal-per-day, and then others you can search around on for things you might like.

There are so many more places I could list. What are your other favorite budget-ish restaurants or deals?

Best Chinese in ATL is Tasty China in Marietta. It's also a true bargain. Bring your own wine and glasses.

I love Chow Baby for lunch. Dinner isn't such a great deal, but if you only go up 1 time, you can take your leftovers to go. Just make a really big plate the first time!
